While we are all confined in our homes, we're trying to do our part by providing you with great music. Hence, we decided to fire up our Free Download series again, and we will take the opportunity to make this series all about exploring. We're looking to represent some of the influences that go beyond our traditional #basslineGroove, but which still represent our heart & soul.

For the first release of this reboot, we invited Portuguese talent Insignio, to deliver a deep and soulful take on Footwork/Juke. Afonso Silva has been making music for many years under various monikers, but mostly under his Crawler project, where he explores the harder sounds of Drum & Bass. With his Insignio alias, he looks project a deep and experimental sound, often bringing elements from genres like Jazz & Gospel into the equation. Mixing them with the right amount of distortion and his trademark percussion, he creates very personal artistic pieces.

Bourbon Moon expresses all which Insignio stands for – making use of his traditionally hard drums, and combining it with a soulful atmosphere, the whole track is a plethora of feelings. With a deep cinematic ambience, it progresses constantly keeping you engaged while its story unfolds.
