Description:
After the first three releases, we decided it was time for something special. Featuring on the next Counterpoint Recordings outing is Portuguese up & coming artist Blueshift.
Blueshift is the music production alias for Tiago Braga. Tiago is a much respected artist within Portuguese borders, best known for his skills as DJ Blast, or his street art and illustration as FEDOR.

Counterpoint always respected and looked-up to this artist, and it is a pleasure for us to output his Debut EP.

To celebrate this, we're releasing Blueshift's MELT EP in two phases. #004 is the sampler for the EP, and it introduces the first two tracks to get you in the right mindset for the complete EP, coming out on our#005 release.

Side A - Strange Signals, is a break infused stepper, with clear Neurofunk influences. The soundscape takes you right to the middle of a outer space sci-fi movie - the low frequencies will keep you moving, and the ambiences will tickle all of your neurons.

Side B - Wavelength is on a more rolling tone, but it is also fully charged with Blueshift's "high-tech" and clinical production. The hard hitting kick takes your feet of the ground, and the bassline delivers the entire groove you came to expect out of Counterpoint.
